The Toronto Leaside Girls
Hockey Association would like to thank all our volunteers, who
donate countless hours to bring our league to life.
Their time
and energy means more fun, better hockey, higher skill level for
the girls and an overall enjoyable opportunity for young women wanting to play hockey.
We rely on volunteers to keep
the league going and provide leadership for the girls and management for the league.
We are always looking for new
volunteers each and every year and no
experience is required!

In 2003, after having volunteered for 12 years one of
TLGHA's biggest supporters, Ian Shaw, stepped down from
the Board of Directors.
He began volunteering for the
league in 1989, when his oldest daughter began to play.
At the time, Toronto Leaside Girls Hockey League
consisted of three levels of girls house league: junior,
intermediate and senior - a total of 12 teams.
Ian
began as an Assistant Coach in 1989, and from that point,
served in various capacities - Manager Trainer, and Coach
for many of the TLGHA teams.
Ian was part of the
League at a crucial time...
