NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The annual
general meeting of the Leaside Girls Hockey League will
be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the
library
of the Marshall McLuhan High School which is located at
1107 Avenue Road, Toronto, Ontario, M5N 3B1. All LGHL parents and
players are invited to attend. The meeting will
consider the LGHL financial statement for the past year,
will elect the board of directors for 2008-2009 and
authorize the board
of directors to take all necessary steps to amend the
articles
of incorporation to change the name of the corporation
to TORONTO LEASIDE GIRLS HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.

CONGRATULATIONS to WILDCATS ALANA WALKER and ELIZABETH LAKE
Leaside Wildcats Alana Walker (Midget AA) and Elizabeth
Lake (Midget A) received gold medals at the World Cup of
Dragon Boat Racing in Penrith Australia, Sunday September
23, 2007.
Our girls placed first in both their events, the 200m and
500m races. The Canadian Jr. team earned 11 medals overall
and won the Junior World Cup of Dragon Boat Racing.
