SILVER IN BALL HOCKEY
Three Leaside alumni (Nicole Hebert, Kathryn and Clare
Padmore) have captured silver in the Canadian National
Ball Hockey Championships in St John's, NFLD. The Toronto
based team went undefeated in the round robin, quarter
and semi finals with victories against Ottawa, Edmonton,
Dartmouth, NFLD & BC but came up a little short against
Ottawa in the finals.

well done!
Powerskating program by Leaside Figure Skating Club
The Leaside Skating Club (LSC) is running a six week
Powerskating Program starting on September 10th through
to October 15th.
The program runs at Leaside Gardens
on Fridays and the sessions start at 5:45pm and are 45
minutes in length. The cost is $120.00.
The
program is for skaters up to age 12 who can already skate
forwards and backwards. This would be a very good way for
less experienced skaters to start the season.

Helmets must be worn.
Hockey gloves, partial gear or full gear are optional.
The instructor is a fully certified Canpowerskate coach
with a good approach to kids.

Congratulations!
Our organization would like to congratulate
several of our Bantam AA players for a tremendous effort
at the Ontario Winter Games.
Congratulations to
Hilary Lloyd ( Gold ), Audrey Potts ( Silver ), Hannah
Rastrick ( Silver ) and Alexandra Rodriguez ( Bronze ).
We are also proud of our other players for making a real
impact at the games, including Victoria Andreakos, Rachel
Bierbrier, Hannah Duncan, Shelby Dunn, Blair Malthaner
and Christine Neatby. These players were selected at
evaluation camps as our Province's elite players.
